“In December last year, with the assistance of the resident working team in Wuliping Village, the village launched a planting project for black termite mushrooms with a total investment of over 800,000 yuan. With the preliminary work including base leveling, mushroom shed construction, and strain introduction completed, the strain planting and cultivation are currently in full swing,” said Luo Jianhua, Party secretary of the village.
In December last year, they introduced new technologies and built a 280-square meter 5G intelligent greenhouse with constant temperature and humidity as well as controlled oxygen, so that villagers could plant black termite mushrooms all year round.
Meanwhile, the village has signed contracts with enterprises. The enterprises are responsible for planting technology, management and operation, and product sales, offer a minimum annual dividend of no less than 50,000 yuan to the village collective, and provide sustainable employment opportunities for villagers. Under the guidance of experts, a group of local technical and management talents have been cultivated to contribute to rural revitalization.
“We have introduced 28,000 mushroom sticks which can be harvested in December. Black termite mushrooms have rich nutrition, high market demand, and short growth cycle, and can be produced all year round. During the production process, many jobs are provided to local farmers so as to help them increase income, injecting new vitality into the future development of the village collective,” said Luo Jianhua.
